About Jason A. Kemp, MD
Jason Kemp, MD specializes in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery, including a variety of bariatric and general surgical procedures. He completed additional training in advanced laparoscopic surgery with Dr. Thomas R. Huntington at St. Luke's Boise Medical Center. He also has extensive experience using the daVinci surgical robot. He serves as the medical director of St. Luke's Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery program, as well as St. Luke's Surgical Services in the Treasure Valley.
Dr. Kemp's expertise includes bariatric surgeries including Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, and revisional bariatric surgery; anti-reflux surgery; paraesophageal and hiatal hernia repair; stomach surgery, including gastric stimulators; gallbladder surgery; and other advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgical procedures.
Dr. Kemp is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons.

Love Dr Kemp, kind, couteous, answers all my question and has gad my back for over 2 yrs! Best decision ever getting established! Amazing team. Golden standard bed side manner. Extensive experience and history. Built great rapport. I honestly believe if I hadn't have sought out a surgeon I would've perished. So thank you Dr Kemp for everything. :')

Dr Kemp is so personable and kind. He never comes across as judgmental, which is a very sensitive area for bariatric patients. He has a very soft and kind manner.
