About Kurt J. Nilsson, MD
Kurt J. Nilsson, MD is fellowship-trained in sports medicine and specializes in non-operative management of acute and chronic shoulder, hip, knee, elbow and ankle injuries and concussions in active children and adults. He has special training in the use of ultrasound for diagnostic and interventional purposes and uses it extensively in his clinic for minimally invasive procedures, such as calcific tendinitis treatment and targeted injections.
Dr. Nilsson is a team physician for the College of Idaho, the US Ski Team, and US Soccer Federation; and has served as a concussion consultant for USA Cycling. He has also served as the medical director of the St. Luke's Concussion Clinic since it inception in 2011 and is medical director for St. Luke's Applied Research.
Dr. Nilsson earned his bachelor's degree at California Lutheran University and a master's degree in exercise science from Boise State University, in addition to his medical training.

Dr Nilsson and his staff are one of the best teams I have been too..every step of the way there was an explanation of what was happening. This was my first time getting a shot in the hip....if I have to have another one I will go to dr Nilsson and his team!!
