Volunteer at St. Luke's
Your Time is a Precious Gift
Kindness and compassion are powerful parts of healing—and when you volunteer at St. Luke’s, you help show patients and families just how much their community cares about them.
Volunteer opportunities vary by region, and we invite you to explore how you can make a difference in your local St. Luke’s facility. Thank you for sharing your time, heart, and support with us.

Adult Volunteers

Lend a Hand, Touch a Heart
As a volunteer at St. Luke’s, you help create a warm, welcoming environment for patients and their families. Whether it’s celebrating a joyful moment like a new baby or offering comfort during a difficult diagnosis, your presence makes a meaningful difference when people need it most. And along the way, you’ll earn the trust and appreciation of both the people you serve and the care teams you support.
Opportunities include helping families in waiting rooms, working in the gift shop, engaging with kids in the Children’s Hospital playroom, or making cuddly teddy bears for our young patients.
Specialized Volunteer Opportunities
Junior Volunteers
This program for young adults ages 16-18 offers valuable experience in a hospital environment and an opportunity to develop customer service and leadership skills, and learn to take on responsibility while interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
Hospice Volunteers
Our hospice volunteer program is made up of wonderful people from all walks of life. Many have experienced the loss of a loved one and can relate to the emotions and challenges hospice patients and families may be going through.
Pet Therapy Volunteers
Specially trained doggie friends and their humans provide cheer, brighten a stressful day, and help our patients, visitors, and staff relax. These caring human-canine teams bring comfort and diversion for adult and pediatric patients alike.
