Brain Aneurysm
PLACEHOLDER
A brain (cerebral) aneurysm is a bulging, weak area in the wall of an artery that supplies blood to the brain. In most cases, a brain aneurysm causes no symptoms and goes unnoticed. In rare cases, the brain aneurysm ruptures, releasing blood into the skull and causing stroke.
Brain Aneurysm Care at St. Luke's
The St. Luke’s team evaluates brain aneurysm patients on an outpatient or inpatient basis. Brain aneurysms are diagnosed through radiographic imaging. Our world-class neurosurgeons will use the imaging to determine the best treatment option, which can include closely monitoring the aneurysm without intervention, treating the aneurysm with a minimally invasive technique, or open cranial surgery.
