Esophageal Cancer Care
PLACEHOLDER
Esophageal cancer is a disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the hollow, muscular tube that moves food and liquid from the throat to the stomach.
Our team offers comprehensive care to treat your esophageal cancer. With a cancer diagnosis, you want a team of skilled, insightful caregivers on your side—focusing their energy just on you, easing symptoms and side effects, and strengthening you physically, mentally, and emotionally. We provide both chemotherapy and radiation, and if your treatment requires surgery, you can trust that you’re getting the highest level of surgical expertise in the region. Our surgeons specialize in esophagectomy and perform more esophageal surgeries than anyone else in Idaho. Our positive outcomes exceed national averages, offering you world-class expertise close to home.
If preliminary tests have shown something suspicious, our thoracic nurse navigator will walk you and your primary care provider through next steps and further testing to ensure we're able to make an accurate diagnosis. And, if you are diagnosed with esophageal cancer, the nurse navigator will guide you and your family as you enter treatment, making sure you receive the resources and support you need.
If you have questions about esophageal cancer diagnosis and treatment, please call our thoracic nurse navigator at (208) 381-6194.
